Wonderful cozy shop selling all kinds of beautiful alpaca fibre. I purchased “Leila” yarn and some unspun fleece to spin myself. Great service and gorgeous products. Always visit when I’m in the county.

The Timid Hare workshop was the absolute best crafting session I have participated in. Not only was Megan a very good guide through the process of creating a lifelike portrait, but all the supplies to further embellish the work was included. The participants were welcomed with unbelievably delicious scones and coffee, but we also enjoyed a lovely lunch thanks to our most gracious hosts.
I am looking forward to the spring 2025 rollout of new/returning workshops and highly recommend others do likewise. They fill up fast!

I purchased the 4 & 8mm insoles. They are comfortable and I am looking forward to trying the 8mm in ski boots and winter boots in the cold of winter in the Yukon.

I love this yarn for hats and scarves but I want to make a chunky shawl. I know it will look amazing! Lots of options for colours and thickness.

Our second visit to The Cottage at SHED Chetwyn Farms was a pleasure from start to finish.

Life on the farm moves with its own quiet rhythm and it was a simple joy for us to become part of the daily routine. The alpacas and horses emerged from the barn as we ate our breakfast. As the day passed, we sat on the screened porch enjoying the cicadas and passing clouds. We popped out for a tasty lunch and glass of wine at the nearby wineries in the heart of The County's VQA region. At night we slept deeply under a green canopy of stars where the loudest sound was the treefrogs. The Cottage is the perfect getaway for the city-weary.

Everything from our hosts' warm welcome to the lovely, comfortable and spacious accommodations made for a memorable visit to The County. We will definitely be coming back.

Every since we learned about the possibility of renting the cottage (which looks exactly the same in person as in the photos on the website), we've wanted to stay on this tranquil farm on a quiet country road near Hillier. We had been drawn by the opportunity to help out with the alpacas and horses. This we did, under the surveillance of Walter the wonder dog, the barn cats Calico Kevin, Pekoe and Marshmallow, and under the guidance of our hosts, Ted and Shauna, who are friendly and gracious without being intrusive, as others have noted. While we were still able to visit to our favourite restaurants (e.g., Wellington is only 10 minutes away by car), we also slowed down and enjoyed the spectacular views and quiet ambience of the farm during this perfect week. We will be back again next summer!
