“I have wanted to stay at this farm since I became aware of it and I was not disappointed. Everything is lovingly maintained, quiet, comfortable and visually pleasing. Shauna and Ted are so thoughtful and friendly. They presented us with a beautiful home-baked cake on our arrival (which was delicious and gone by the time we left!). The beds are comfy as is the kitchen and living area. The bucolic view of alpacas and horses is delightful in all weather. And, of course, there's SHED, the shop (open in summertime, online otherwise), that sells many elegant things of the fiber variety. I will most definitely return. ”

Our Story
Drawn to the bucolic fields and vast waterfront vistas of Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County, we settled on a small farm property of 55 acres just outside the village of Wellington. The farm, named Chetwyn Farms (Welsh for “little cottage on twisted road”), has been our home for over 10 years. Combining our interest in sustainable farming, our concern for animal welfare (alpacas are never harmed to harvest fleece), and our love for the handmade process, we settled on the exquisite and elegant alpaca!
