Join us on select dates throughout the summer for 3 exciting mini-workshops held outside in the paddocks with the alpaca!
Sketching with the Alpaca:
In this mini workshop, Megan takes you through her process of capturing the essence of an alpaca and its surroundings through various experimental and traditional drawing techniques. Each participant will be lead through a series of warm up drawing exercises and learn tips on drawing from observation. After gaining newfound confidence, enjoy playing around with pencil, charcoal, and pen to create unique drawings which celebrate these incredible animals

Plein Air Painting in the fields with the Alpaca!
In these 2 very different Plein Air Abstraction mini workshops we will be spending time in the landscape at Chetwyn Farms. Pamela will help you to see shape, form, colour and light within the landscape. Wearing a lens of compositional observation she will then guide you in abstracting the landscapes that lays before you.

Loosen up and absorb the shapes and “Moods of the County” landscape with Pamela Mayhew, award winning Canadian artist and professional arts instructor.
In this Plein Air Abstraction workshop we will be spending time in the landscape at Chetwyn Farms. Pamela will help you to see shape, form, colour and light within the landscape. Wearing a lens of compositional observation she will then guide you in abstracting the landscapes that lays before. A chance to paint with coaching and advice as/when needed!

Just like the earlier mini-workshop - This mini workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to dabble with brush and paints with Pam coaching. All materials provided to create a take-away painting in this 5 hour mini-workshop!
Photography in the Fields with the Alpaca
Facilitated by professional wildlife photographer Graham Keenan, you will have unprecedented access to the alpacas not available to the general public. Graham will be available for one to one tips and tricks to help you set up the perfect shot in the pastures and paddocks. Don’t just Instagram or snap a pic – get all the expertise to really capture the moment!
