With the dwindling of daylight on the farm and the poetry of changing seasons it seems that winter might finally soon be upon the County! Join us this holiday season at the farm and share in the joy of local, handcrafted and meaningful gift giving!
Set amid fresh evergreen, twinkling lights and twig branches, the entrance pergola to the SHED welcomes you into a winter-wonderland. Inside you'll find items handcrafted and charming, seasonal and enduring all based on our sweet alpacas and the Chetwyn Farms experience in Prince Edward County.
We've accordingly adjusted the offerings in the SHED with the addition of holiday goodies in the “Annex” -The former summer “run-in” for our alpaca herd who give it up temporarily during the winter months when the cooler weather is more to their liking and they are content to roam the pastures in the dwindling days of autumn! Our merchandise is tucked into faux bois boxes, tin pails & trays, twig baskets and perched on old barn boards and tree limbs, peeking from layers of moss. We hope you'll find it quite enchanting.
Come in for handcrafted alpaca ornaments for the tree and so-adorable stuffed animals (now offered in both traditional and new Heritage Collection) Browse alpaca themed note-cards and holiday books for children. Consider the extensive selection of 100% baby alpaca throws & pillows, hand-knit scarves & cowls, mittens & toques – all perfect for keeping away the cold and sure to keep you toasty warm this winter!
Buy local raspberry preserve; orange marmalade, with a dram of aged scotch, heirloom tomato-butter and maple syrup from our friends at Tamarack Farms in Northumberland County, an organic farm and winners of several international awards. Savor the herb and spice blends inspired by the square foot technique of gardening at our farm and created for Chetwyn Farms by Cured PEC.
Sniff Christmas-tree-shaped beeswax candles that smell as pretty as they look along with tea lights, and of course signature honey collected from hives located around the county by PEC Honey Company!
Delight in our ever-evolving selection of fleece-feeders for those feathered friends that use alpaca fleece as nesting materials and spoil them even more with locally designed and hand-crafted bird-seed creations.
Dig the fleece-wrapped gardener soaps and the selection of seeds from our favorite greenskeepers at Edible Antiques. Bulk-up on bags of SHED-SHIT to have at the ready for top-dressing seed beds, indoor plants and vegetable patches when spring returns

Scan the selection of signature alpaca socks in dress, sport and trekking weights, sturdy felted insoles sure to keep feet warm & toasty on cold winter days - and at night wrap yourself in our 100% alpaca fleece duvets – our alternative to down and wool blankets.
