What is a safe farm visit? - Getting ready for you this summer!
With the recent announcement from the provincial government regarding phase 2 of the provincial plan to re-open the province some retailers (those not operating in malls) are allowed to be opened. For us this raises a number of questions about your safety and ours as we return to some sort of normalcy this summer.
As the season progresses and we adapt to a new way of working – we will be instituting a series of protocol for safe farm visits and hope you will consider these actions a reasonable approach to assuring a positive experience at our farm and in the SHED shop. We like to call it “feel-good” farm visit therapy!
1. Our farm will be closed to general public in 2020. Starting Saturday June 13th however we will be moving to an on-line booking system called CLICK-it-to-VISIT. We invite you to visit our website chetwynfarms.com and book a time to visit the farm and shop. Time can be booked for as little as ½ hour and more time can be added subject to availability. This measure will insure no more than 10 people are at the farm at any time and provide our visitors with a safe and exclusive opportunity to see the alpaca and shop in the SHED. There is a fee at time of booking which may be used as a credit against purchase of equal value in the shop.
2. The SHED shop has been reconfigured to create natural social distancing zones with a contactless point of purchase and wrap area.
3. Curb side Pick-up will continue for the duration of the year allowing you to purchase and pay on-line and enjoy contactless pick-up at the farm.
We look forward to seeing you this summer and believe we have created a unique and one-of-a-kind farm visit for you!
