In the SHED we recently discovered that all seeds are not created equal! We were looking for heirloom & heritage seeds to start in our raised square foot gardens this spring. We recently met Stacey from Edible Antiques - A creative and inspiring small seed company. All of her seeds are grown in Prince Edward County and are therefore, regionally adapted to our climate and soil conditions. Weather here is somewhat extreme compared to our surrounding areas because we are an island (which is the giant peninsula in the middle of Lake Ontario) so these plants often experience extreme cold, extreme heat, extreme rain or extreme drought…depending on the time of the season! Long story short…these seeds are fairly hardy!
In addition - Each package is handmade with love, on tree free paper from The St.Armand Papeterie in Montreal. (made with recycled cotton rags and autumn leaves!) Each pack has a small artwork to represent your seed of choice. If your like us - when planting seeds and caring for mother earth it's almost a spiritual experience, and with these seed packages each individually created and hand-finished it doesn't get better then that we think! Frame it or Compost it when your done!
Each pack contains detailed historical, culinary and growing information inside the pack.
$4.00 pack - assorted and available in the SHED
