Summer 2026 at The STUDIO – Three Exhibitions Not to Miss

Something special is happening at SHED Chetwyn Farms this summer. The STUDIO — our gallery and pop-up space in the heart of Prince Edward County — is hosting three extraordinary exhibitions, each one a celebration of handcraft, natural materials, and the creative spirit.

Here's a taste of what's coming.

Confluence of Craft: Mary Calarco & Don Stinson

May 29 – June 25, 2026 | Opening Reception: Friday, May 29, 5–7 PM

Confluence of Craft at The STUDIO

The season opens with a rare pairing: textile artist Mary Calarco and master wood turner Don Stinson. Two artists, two very different materials — united by a shared reverence for the natural world and the handmade object.

Calarco's fabric dye works evoke the shifting palette of the Canadian landscape, while Stinson's turned vessels let grain, bark, and subtle imperfection speak for themselves. Together, they create a conversation between fibre and wood, colour and form, that is quietly extraordinary.

The message is … LOVE: Graham Hollick

July 15–19, 2026 — Limited Four-Day Run | Opening Reception: Wednesday, July 15, 5–7 PM

Graham Hollick textile art

Mark your calendar — this one is four days only. Graham Hollick is an internationally exhibited textile artist whose rug hooking transforms repurposed clothing into vibrant, emotionally resonant works. Shown in London, Portugal, Italy, and the USA, and featured in Selvedge magazine, Hollick brings a rare and urgent energy to The STUDIO this July.

His message is simple, and it's everything: love. Don't miss it.

Suspended Sunshine: Polish Pajaki – Paula Hartmann

July 25 – August 29, 2026

Suspended Sunshine pajaki installation by Paula Hartmann

The summer closes with something truly unexpected. Toronto-based artist Paula Hartmann fills The STUDIO with a sweeping canopy of colour and form — a contemporary reimagining of pajaki, the centuries-old Polish folk art of paper chandeliers. Joyful, handmade, and utterly transportive.

Paula's installations have been featured at Nuit Blanche Toronto, the Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail, and the Gladstone House. This is her most intimate setting yet.
