Some mornings call for a little more between you and the cold.
The floor feels chilly before you’ve reached the kettle. There’s frost on the steps, the dog is waiting at the door, and the outdoor chores won’t finish themselves. These are the days for a proper pair of thick socks.
Our Thermal Terry Alpaca Socks are made for exactly that feeling: wanting to pull on something soft, substantial and wonderfully warm before getting on with your day.
Crafted in Quebec for Chetwyn Farms using alpaca fibre, they’re our warmest, most cushioned socks. A Canadian-made winter essential, ready well before the first snowfall.
The comfort is in the terry
What makes the Terry different is its construction.
Inside, a sheared terry-loop knit creates a thick, cushioned layer around your feet. It’s the kind of comfort you notice as soon as you pull them on: soft underfoot, reassuringly substantial, and especially welcome when temperatures drop.
Alpaca fibre brings its softness to the blend, while nylon adds strength for regular wear. Together, they make a sock you’ll want within reach throughout the colder months.
From the morning chores to the evening chair
Winter doesn’t happen in just one setting. Neither does a good pair of socks.
Wear your Terry socks for cold-weather dog walks, cottage weekends or time spent tending to outdoor jobs. Then keep them on when you come back inside, put the kettle on and settle into a slower part of the day.
They’re equally at home as a cosy indoor sock, especially if you prefer the enveloping comfort of a thick sock to a pair of slippers.
Give the cushioning a little room
These are deliberately thick socks. When wearing them in boots, allow enough room for both your feet and that extra cushioning rather than squeezing them into a close-fitting pair.
The Terry is unisex and designed for a comfortable rather than tight fit. Choose from the size options on the product page, and contact us if you’d like help deciding.
Wash gently, wear often
Hand wash or use a gentle machine cycle in cold water, then lay flat to air-dry. Skip the dryer to help protect the alpaca fibre.
There’s plenty to prepare before winter arrives. Keeping your feet cosy can be the easy part.
