- Alchemy is the the only visiting artist residency in the County, this winter residency is a pilot - a first - to our knowledge no one has brought a group of visiting artists from away to work together in the quiet of winter
- Founded in 2015 on the Toronto Islands, more then 100 artists from three continents have participated in our initiatives, a third have returned more then once to the Residency. Some of their work (including at the Grange, Closson Chase, Morandin, Thyme Again Farms and other locations) remains after the Residency is over.
- Our artists share their work though community initiatives, public art projects and private art collections in Canada and beyond.
- In the past Alchemy has been awarded federal funding as well as the support of the Ontario Arts Coucil and the County Foundation.
- In PEC During the global pandemic Alchemy artists partnered with local farms, wineries and funders to offer Table Settings, an initiative which provided 3000 meals to seasonal agricultural workers over four harvest seasons.
