Alpaca Fleece - Replacement Fleece for Fleece Feeders

After sheering, we evaluate the fibre from each animal. The fleece “waste” is collected from the legs and other areas, and is not suitable for yarn or even felting.  However it makes an excellent insulator and for that reason birds love to use it to line their nests during nesting season (March-May)

We fill all of our feeders with this “waste” fleece, but as seasons come and go - you may need to add more to your feeder.  Simply pack into our feeders or your own for a seasons worth of nesting!
