Call for Vendors/Pop-Up Shop

The SHED STUDIO is a new 350 square foot space within the established SHED shop at Chetwyn Farms. Situated along Closson Road, the farm attracts visitors May to December. Closson Road is a destination within Prince Edward County and home to popular wineries, farm-shops and studios. Additionally, the farm attracts day-trippers, bike tours and other tours in the area. This ideal location in the County provides the backdrop for artist studios/pop-ups on the farm.

With a focus on fibre-arts, Chetwyn Farms offers visitors viewing of alpaca in the fields, a farm-stay cottage, workshops & special events. Open daily May through December the STUDIO space is available on weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.

The space is perfectly suited to the following:

Artist studio, Pop-up sales, Gallery or exhibition space Workshop or educational programming Marketing or visitor engagement/trials  

Criteria & Requirement to book space:

Fibre or textile related preferred (cloth, yarn, paper, wood, etc.,) and or other mediums that relate to fibre, farm-life, animals etc.,  Non-competitive with the existing SHED product range (alpaca & related products including socks, garments, accessories)Packaged or finished food products permitted with permission ie jams, jellies, pickles, candy, chocolate etc.,) *Food for consumption and prepared foods not permitted

Included in space fees:

Space app 16 ft by 16 fT, Power (hydro) Wi-fi

Marketing support & signage at entrance to studio Security & Parking

Staff oversight of space during operating hours

*NOTE: there is no public washroom or running water.  Access to private washroom provided for artist/vendor only.

Logistics

Load-in to space to be pre-approved and operational for next business day  Strike/move-out must be completed on last day

Artist/vendor may be on site but not necessary.  Artist/vendor may offer products/items for sale VIA the SHED POS system

SHED to provide staff during open hours and act as an agent of the artist/vendor in his/her absence

Space is secured after hours

SHED STUDIO – Rental Fees (inclusive as noted above) must be paid in full prior to tenancy

Weekly $190.00

Bi-weekly $300.00

Monthly $500.00

Bi-monthly $800.00

Sales Commission Fees:

20% Percentage on sales sold VIA SHED POS. All sales must be processed by SHED unless otherwise agreed.
