In the still of the winter months - or in the fury of a winter storm we settle into the off season and plan for the new one. We take stock of the year past and dream of spring days, followed by warm summer months when we open our farm to visitors for a one-of-a-kind farm experience.
We are happy to announce the farm and shop open for the 2020 season as of Saturday May 2 and will be open weekends only in May & June from 11-4. Seven-day a week starts June 26 until Labour Day September 7. Watch for fall and winter hours at a later date!
Yoga is back this year with 5 sessions confirmed - see our website for dates and details. Several are almost sold-out.
Our annual trip to New York for the Vogue Knitting Show in January sees us continuing to expand our one-of-a-kind offerings in the SHED and happy to be working with both local and international designers again in 2020 to create a line of alpaca-inspired home accessories & wearables that celebrate all the beauty of alpaca!
Our herd expands again in 2020 as we expect a new baby (cria) in mid July! Watch our facebook and instagram for details closer to the due-date.
Chetwyn Farms expands programming to include workshops in the “loft” of the newly renovated barn, demonstrations and special events throughout the 2020 season. Please watch for announcements about all of these events in the coming weeks.
Along with these special events we have created a series of exclusive “behind-the-scenes” tours of our modern-day farm. Groups of ten or more are invited to inquire about these one-of-a-kind experiences which includes access to the paddocks where the alpaca will pose for PICS and selfies with an introduction to fleece sorting & yarn production. Each tour is tailored to the participants requests and can be customized to suit most! Birthday? Anniversary? Or just a group of friends with a love for alpaca? This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Visit our site, make an inquiry to find out more. Min charge is $250.00 for group reservation.
Corporate Gifts & Incentives - Now is the time we send our fleece to the mills to be produced into yarn, felted sheets and other fibre-related products including socks, slippers, throws, and wearables. This is also the time we work with designers to create our one-of-a-kind creations from alpaca yarn. If your considering corporate gifts or incentives reach out and ask us what we might produce for you!
We look forward to seeing you this year at SHED - Chetwyn Farms
